Abracadabra! A Winter Solstice Prayer Experience

PRE-SOLSTICE GATHERING:
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 19, 11-1PM PACIFIC | 12-2 PM MOUNTAIN | 2-4 PM EASTERN
POST-SOLSTICE GATHERING:
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 26, 11-1PM PACIFIC | 12-2 PM MOUNTAIN | 2-4 PM EASTERN

This Winter Solstice is and always has been honored as a sacred tipping point in the waxing and waning of light, of time, of seasons, and of lives. At this portal, the Light of Shechinah—Our Lady, Sophia, Hecate…whatever name you love—spills starlight into our bodies and asks us to fertilize it with our prayers and our tears.

The Solstice was always a community event. In ancient times, we gathered in tombs and stone cathedrals to welcome the return of the Light. Today, in a world swirling with chaos and Covid, we are once more feeling this call to gather in an intentional community to experience the power of the Solstice.

Join Rabbi Tirzah, Emma Kupu, and Janet Conner as we come together in the Theatre of the Miraculous to close another paradoxical year that has been filled with wonder and joy and yet, at the same time, so much strife and suffering and death. What can we birth of such a mysterious soup?

As the Hebraic mystical Kabbalistic incantation of Abracadabra! tells us: I speak and thus I create.

But who is speaking? Who is creating? What is being spoken? What is being birthed? Ah, such questions! Let us gather in prayer listening for how we can be the vehicles to magnify the Shechinah's loving intentions on earth.

The Solstice ask us to ponder:

  • What wants to be released from 2021?

  • What are my highest aspirations for 2022?
What will I pray to give form to?

  • How will I welcome the Divine Feminine to move in and through and as me?

In sacred ceremony, guided meditations, and astrological teachings about how the celestial powers are influencing and guiding us, we will....

  • release the fatigue, disappointments, and inertia of 2021

  • review the past year and harvest its soul lessons

  • focus our intentions for the gifts of life coming our way

  • attune ourselves to the Shechinah's desires for us and the work ahead

Rabbi Tirzah will give us a magical ritual and ceremony to complete on the actual Solstice Day.

But the real magic happens through Her divine force. Her Voice. Her Love. In the Theatre of the Miraculous, we return again and again to this mystical truth: you are not praying, you are being prayed.
